Bureau Nerio was founded by Joram Appel. Joram graduated from Utrecht University with a masters in Cultural History, and has been deeply interested in the relationship between academic historical research and its use in the public space. After working as a freelance Journalist and Historian for a while, he aimed to take on projects larger than himself, together with a team of experienced public historians – Bureau Nerio.
